We’re pretty bias when it comes to the best place to eat in the local area.
But if you’re staying for more than one night, we understand that you might

Sugar Boat

Sugar Boat is a relaxed, informal neighbourhood bistro offering great food at great value in a warm & welcoming environment. Located at 30 Colquhoun Square in the heart of Helensburgh, they’re open from 9 o’clock Monday to Saturday and 10 on a Sunday through until late at night.

Rhu Inn

A beautiful old coaching Inn on the banks of the Gareloch. Ideally situated for exploring Argyll and Bute and Loch Lomond. With 5 rooms, bar and restaurant and a friendly welcome.

The Boat House

The lapping water. The gentle hum of boats passing. The relaxed atmosphere. As its name suggests, you’ll find The Boat House by the loch’s edge. Its nautical-themed décor complements the stunning views overlooking the vibrant marina and Loch Lomond.

This is Argyll & Bute, so we’re pretty sure if you just look out the window
or stroll round the corner, you’ll find something beautiful.

Explore inside the Box and see the Hill House and Helensburgh like never before from the walkways around the house and over the roof.

St Peter’s Seminary

St. Peter's Seminary is a former Roman Catholic seminary near Cardross. Designed by the firm of Gillespie, Kidd & Coia, it has been described as a modern "building of world significance". An essential pilgrimage for every architect or appreciator of vast concrete structures hidden in a forest.

Loch Lomond

The National Park boasts some of the most stunning scenery in the world. From breathtaking mountains and glens, to the vast tranquil beauty of the Lochs. Find a breath-taking view. An exhilarating ride. Or a moment on the loch shore. What will you see when you visit?

Cardross & Helensburgh Golf Clubs

Helensburgh Golf Club is a 15 minute drive away and The Cardross Golf Club sits opposite the Inn. Both offer, stunning views over the Clyde, woodland surroundings and generous undulating fairways.

For those looking to play championship standard, you’ll find the Carrick golf course located in the Carrick estate just a few miles from the Inn. The Carrick also boasts a beautiful Spa and treatment rooms.

The Wee Demon, is a small but deviously testing 9 hole course. The newly refurbished leisure club includes a new 18m swimming pool, a family pool complete with a waterslide. A steam room, sauna and bubble pool, all with scenic views of the surrounding Trossachs.
